About "Mount Blanc"

I am fascinated by mountains, with their rugged peaks and troughs, endowed with awe-inspiring grandeur. In this painting of Mount Blanc, the sun casts a cool blue shadow on the mountain, contrasting perfectly against the warm hues of the sky. To give a sense of the fresh mountain air, I kept brushwork loose and light, and used crisp white paint to portray the almost blinding luminosity of the snow.
