All original 365 paintings purchased in this period will come with an unframed print of 197/365 ‘Mount Blanc’, worth £225. The print will be signed by Paul, and will come with a certificate of authenticity. If you would like your print framed, please purchase one of the ‘framing charge only’ options on the print page. You will then be able to select which moulding type you would like & will only be charged the framing fee of £125, with no charge for the print itself.
As Paul explains below, he has selected to gift this particular print, as it is one of his personal favourites from summer.
“’Mount Blanc’, painted on Day 197 of my daily painting journey, draws on my fascination with mountains and the extremes of the natural world.
Whilst travelling to the Alps to paint for my 365 Project, I was lucky enough to experience the awe-inspiring granduer of Mount Blanc in person.
Besides the immense scale and dramatic peaks and troughs, the light was absolutely breathtaking. I was struck by the effect snow has on reflecting light upwards, making shadows appear an intense blue hue on a summers day.
In No.197 ‘Mount Blanc’, I capture the fresh mountain air with loose and light brushwork, whilst crisp white paint against blue shadows emphasise the almost blinding luminousity of the snow.”
