About "Chrysler Lights"

The Chrysler Building has provided me with endless inspiration for artworks over the years. What I find most fascinating about the Chrysler is that it can change completely in appearance depending on what time of day you view it. On grey overcast days it can blend into the sky, whereas when the sun is shining the silver spire gleams, and at night its lights twinkle. Here, the evening is about to begin, so the lights emanating from buildings and the street appear more dramatic. To capture this effect, I made the shadows darker to emphasise the shine of the lights.
