About "Paris Glow"
This is the spectacular view from Notre Dame overlooking Paris as the evening draws in. Through the darkness, the glowing silhouette of the Eiffel Tower rises out of the skyline and lights emanating from buildings charge the streets with magical light. As I painted, pigments of colour pooled in the groves of the handmade paper, creating an aged grain effect, which I think works perfectly given Paris' rich extensive history. Working with the unique texture of the handmade paper, I blotted some of the paint away in the sky to give the impression of clouds illuminated by the city below.
