About "Still Waters"

In this pastel drawing of a boat in Mousehole Harbour in Cornwall, my main concern was with capturing the strong reflection of the boat on the water. When creating reflections, the level of mirror finish is dictated by the turbulence of the water's surface. As this is an inlet of the harbour, the water was very still with just a few ripples, so it gave the perfect conditions for painting a really complementary reflection.
