About "Walking the Dog"

After being made redundant from my engineering career, I began painting religiously everyday to learn the techniques of watercolour, the first medium I ever worked with. This piece is special to me, as it depicts my home beach at Woolacombe, where I have made many memories over the years. Painted on a quiet March evening, the stillness of the water glazing the sand mirrors the sky above, echoing the serenity of the scene.
