About "Barcelona Morning Light"

Barcelona morning light painted on location in gouache and pen on craft paper. In leaving areas of the brown grainy paper exposed, I tried to emulate the texture and warmth of the stone of the historic buildings. Street lights and people wandering within the scene guide the eye into the hazy distance. Reflecting the calm openness of the scene, quick penned lines suggest structure and form without focussing on unnecessary busy details.
