About "San Francisco Radiance"
There always has to be a focal point within a painting, whether that be a shaft of light, a movement or a unique detail. Whenever I am creating a new piece, I think about what might engage and speak to the viewer. What makes this piece interesting to me is the shaft of light hitting the warm hues of the tram and taxi, contrasting perfectly against the greys of the tarmac and buildings. Subtle sparkles of light are reflected on the tram lines, giving this piece a wonderful luminosity throughout.
