About "Walk On By"
I love walking the long streets of New York City, with its towering high rises engulfing me in the incredible energy of the metropolis. This piece depicts a New York City street on a bright winter morning, with light piercing through the tunnel between two streets, casting crisp black shadows. Directional lines help to create a strong sense of perspective and distance, emphasising the length of the seemingly never-ending streets. The reflection of the man in the puddle in the foreground brings life to the scene.
